Core Process Psychotherapy

This approach to psychotherapy starts with the premise that awareness is fundamentally healing, that bringing wise and compassionate attention to the aspects of our being that are wounded or hurting will allow us to come into new relationship with ourselves and life, as we also reveal and connect with those aspects of being that are intrinsically healthy and resourced.

It is an approach that focuses on a spectrum of well being and does not seek to pathologise or overidentify with any particular psychological condition or form.

The cultivation of this kind of awareness is sometimes called mindfulness and bringing this discipline ( which is rooted in Buddhist practice ) into therapeutic relationship and psychotherapy is at the heart of Core Process Psychotherapy.
